For this week's addition of the Apraemio Weekly Series, we are taking you on a journey to Dubai for the Blockchain Economy Conference. This trip was a big success for the Apraemio team, and we even featured in a panel at the event.
Our main aim for this visit was to attend the Blockchain Economy Summit Dubai for networking and business development reasons. As Gergő led the discussion into the world of Web3, exciting opportunities began to unfold. First, we received an invitation to appear on a local blockchain podcast. The prospect of sharing our insights with a broader audience filled us with anticipation.
Our journey to the heart of the global blockchain industry began on a sunny Wednesday morning in Dubai. Gergő, our astute Business Development and Marketing Specialist, started the day with a panel discussion featuring blockchain heavyweights Soheil Zabihi and Ravikant Agrawal. The topic? The adoption and future of Web3, a conversation that kept us on the edge of our seats.
In the afternoon, Thomas, our COO, engaged in a productive meeting with the product development team of M2, a Dubai-licensed exchange. Here, we discussed the ambitious idea of creating a strategic partnership backed by $APRA that could strike the perfect balance between a stablecoin and a speculative asset. The potential for innovation in the crypto space seemed boundless.
As the sun dipped below the Dubai skyline, Gergő received an exclusive invitation to a VIP dinner. He rubbed shoulders with representatives from a Canadian-regulated exchange, family offices, and an Indian VC. The networking opportunities were as diverse as they were promising, offering a glimpse into the global reach of blockchain technology.
To cap off the day, Gergő initiated discussions with both Polygon’s growth and product teams while Thomas continued his conversations with the Indian VC and the family offices. The future of blockchain was unfolding right before our eyes, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to be a part of it.
Thursday proved to be less hectic in terms of conference events but exponentially busier in terms of meetings. Thomas and Gergő, our dynamic duo, met with various stakeholders, including family offices, incubators, liquidity providers, and market makers. These meetings were essential as we geared up for the launch of our token listings. In the blockchain world, relationships are currency, and we were determined to build strong connections.
Additionally, we held two informal meetings to explore the legislative framework and administrative aspects of potential incorporation in the UAE. Navigating the regulatory landscape was crucial, and we took every opportunity to gain insights from the experts on the ground.
As our Dubai adventure drew to a close, our team still had some exciting meetings on the agenda. The day began with a meeting of a leader of an Arabic crypto community, where ideas flowed freely and bonds were forged.
Next, we met with a family office specializing in gold-based investments. The intersection of traditional finance and blockchain technology was an intriguing topic, and this meeting promised exciting possibilities for collaboration.
Finally, we wrapped up our Dubai blockchain odyssey by meeting with an NFT development company. As the meeting concluded, we couldn’t help but feel that the future of blockchain held countless opportunities yet to be discovered.
As we made our way to the airport, our minds buzzed with new ideas, connections, and prospects. Dubai has been the backdrop to an unforgettable chapter in our journey in the blockchain realm. Stay tuned; the adventure is far from over. HAY HAY!
